eToro to Acquire TradeZero for $231M to Expand US Presence

Tel Aviv, Israel-based trading and investing platform eToro has agreed to acquire U.S.-focused online brokerage TradeZero in a deal valued at $231 million, with closing anticipated in the first half of 2027, the companies announced Tuesday.

Yoni Assia, eToro’s co-founder and CEO, described the transaction as “an important step in building our US business.” In a statement released Tuesday, Assia added: “This combination gives us a faster path to launching new products for US customers and strengthens our offering. Together, we’ll innovate faster as we continue building the global financial superapp for the next generation of users.”

Through the acquisition, eToro aims to leverage TradeZero’s “differentiated technology,” its access to the Canadian market, and a trader community that eToro characterizes as “highly engaged.”

Daniel Pipitone, TradeZero’s co-founder and CEO, framed the alignment with eToro as an “exciting next step” for his company and its users. “Their global platform and millions of users give us the scale to accelerate innovation, while our broker-dealer infrastructure and proprietary trading tools strengthen an even broader investing platform,” Pipitone said. “TradeZero was built by active traders, for active traders, and everything we've done since 2015 has been in service of that community.”

The $231 million consideration is expected to comprise cash and up to 2.5 million newly issued Class A shares, according to eToro.

eToro went public on the Nasdaq market in May 2025. TradeZero generated approximately $80 million in revenue over the year preceding June 30.

eToro expects the combination to be accretive to adjusted earnings per share in the first year after the deal closes.
